Great Series to watchJul 21, 2010
I am so glad that I bought this DVD set. I remembered something about this show when it first came out and was upset that I wouldn't be able to watch it. I have to get up early when I work during the school year and can't stay up late. I caught this on reruns and fell in love. Of course it was cancelled, just my luck. Very sad, it was a wonderful show. I recommend buying the DVD. I have watched all four of them more than once. The quality is good. My only complaint would be that there were no "extras" contained in the set. Aside from that, I love the DVDs. Alex O'Loughlin was terrific as Mick St. John, a reluctant vampire, but worthy hero. I liked Sophia as Beth. For you women out there, Alex has one of "those" voices that can make you melt. All of the actors in this were good and worked well together. Enjoy watching this series over and over. I hope this helped!

Completely mesmerizing seriesJul 20, 2010
This series was only given one season but it should now be on season three. The characters in this series are well developed and seem as if they could step off the screen and be living next door to you. These are characters that you care about and identify with. As a thirty something woman who loves vampires this was right up my alley. Every episode gets better than the one before. Love this show. Still hoping for a movie. A must buy for any vampire fan, paranormal fan, or simply for anyone who is a fan of an honest heart touching romance.

This is the best vampire show that has ever been on television. I would recommend this set to anyone who enjoys a vampire show that has it all. The love story in this show between Mick & Beth in just fantastic. This isn't your grand mom's vampire.

The best 16 TV episodes to ever hit the airwaves. Filmed in a noir style, it combines intrigue, excitment, crime solving and budding romance coupled with angst. Then throw in a P.I. vamp and his snarky financial wizard best friend, his long thought dead ex wife and a budding romance with a grown up mortal woman who was rescued 22 years ago. Beautifully filmed and acted. Alex O'Loughlin is one handsome vamp and this is his absolute best role. He IS Mick St. John.
