Is there something like a christian Western? Yes, there is! And here you have it! And it's no dumb tearjerker. Its truly a great story. And if it will jerk a tear form you then this will not be dumb.

I purchased each DVD separately over time because I could not afford all at once; however, if I could do it over, I would save and buy them all at once. This is the very best family saga you will ever hope to find. I fell in love with each character and once I got the complete set (8) I watched them all again in four nights from beginning to end...a wonderful experience in Faith and Love!

I can not tell you how many times we have watched this complete series of movies. I have both sets vol. 1 and 2. We have bought these for friends and have received thank you cards as well as phone calls telling us how much these movies have touched their hearts. These movies tell a story you will never forget. They are beautifully made and amazing to watch. Thank you Janette Oke and Micheal Landon Jr. OUTSTANDING. When is vol 3 going to be released and what happened to the Marty and Clarks sons?

The first three movies in the Love Comes Softly series are far and away my favorites. The stories are so unique, and the two main characters (Marty and Clark) are exquisitely portrayed by Katherine Heigl and Dale Midkiff. I read this entire series long before I watched the movies, and while I was a little disappointed that the movies did not follow the books, I found that I liked them in a different way.
Michael Landon, Jr. took a strong series written by one of the leading inspirational writers, Janette Oke, and turned it into compelling television. Though the movies don't contain violence or much drama-packed action, they do just what they're supposed to do: capture a viewer's attention and draw them into a well-told story.

janette oke wrote the best series about love the old days God and faith. i suggest you read all the series. they will make you cry and happy and give you hope!!
