53 Crime Thrillers which Serve there Purpose.Jun 26, 2001
By Bradley Tobin
Reservoir Dogs: 5 Stars, the Perfect Crime Thriller. The Greatest directorial debut of All Time (yes, better than Citizen Kane) and, simply put, one of the Greatest movies of All Time.

Suicide Kings: 4 Stars, Highly Underated thriller that deserves to be more Widely Seen (as does a lot of Sean Patrick Flannery's work eg. "Body Shots" and "The Boondock Saints"). Exception cast make a good film Great.

Killing Zoe: 3 stars, a downer but still efective. Eric Stoltz and Julie Delpy can make Anything watchable.

In Conclusion, 3 very worthy thrillers to add to Any Self Respecting movie fans collection.

5Stuck in the middle with you......................Mar 16, 2006
By Puzzle box "smockey_421"
This boxset set is briliant all three films I highly recomend even though I don't have this set I have them seperate. Reservoir dogs ofcourse is the best film in this set, Quentin Tarantino's debut film is about a group of experienced criminals who have each been given a code name like Mr. Blonde Mr. Orange ect. to conceale their identeties from each other led by Joe (Lawrence Tierney) who assembeled the team in a warehouse for a simple heist but then their plans get screwed up when their happens to be a traitor amongst them. The cast of characters are excelently played by the actors especialy Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Steve Buscemi who doesn't beleive in tipping and Michael Madsen who plays the psycho who tortures a cop that has just been captured in a hilarious yet distubing scene, this is one of the best crime thrillers of all time and should be watched by everyone it also has the best dialogue ever written which is typical Tarintino.

The next film is Scuicide kings which stars Christopher Walken as a powerful mafia boss who gets kidnapped by a bunch of college students and the reason for this kidnapping is because one of the students girlfriend has been kidnapped and held for ransome, even though the film has a few plot twists it doesn't become to excessive and tedious and the supporting cast is also brilliant O.k. not all of them Jeremy Sisto (Six feet under) was the best as a preppy and rather obnoxious person and the whole film was made better by the excellent performane by Walken.

Killing Zoe is probably the darkest and most violent film in this set, an american guy named Zed played by Eric Stoltz who dicides to visit some friends in France, so they plan to rob a bank since Zed is an expert at breaking into safes but soon alot of problems start since his prostitute girlfriend (Julie Delpy) who are both in love with each other also happens to work there so hes faced with a moral dilemma. The situation gets more intense as the cops arrive and are forced to negotiate as more hostages get killed cause the bank robbers are heavely into drugs. If you like Quentin Tarantino films and don't seem to be bothered by some gory death scenes then your going to love this cause its pretty good.

5ZOEAug 07, 2001
By Flashfucker96
I'm from germany and don't know the original versions in english. It's difficult to get the uncut versions in germany (german language!!!). But I KNOW that the movie isn't called "killing zone". It's called "killing zoe". "zoe" ist a prostitute and one of the main charackters of the movie. Hope that someone will correct that misstake.

best regards

PS: very nice movies......if you like Tarantino
